Simulation Lab (SIM Lab)
Our nursing program features a state-of-the-art simulation (SIM) lab, designed to enhance student learning through realistic clinical scenarios. The lab includes:
- Simulation Suite: Equipped with three beds, each capable of relaying and recording audio, video, and patient data via a cloud-based simulation management system.
- High-Fidelity Manikins: Five manikins, including two adult (Nursing Anne), one pediatric (SimJunior), one obstetric (SimMom), and one neonate (SimNewB).
- Faculty Observation Room: An observation room with three large one-way windows, allowing faculty to monitor simulation activities in the main simulation area and the medication room.
- SimCapture System: A learning management system that records simulations, allowing faculty to assess and review student performance.
- Debrief Room: A dedicated space for real-time or recorded broadcast of simulations, providing students the opportunity to observe and engage in meaningful debrief discussions.
These facilities offer students hands-on experience in realistic medical settings, enhancing their skills and preparation for clinical practice.
