Share a bit about yourself and what you have been up to since you left Green River.

I was born and raised in Nigeria before moving to the United States in 2018. I received my Associates in Science from 麻豆村 before transferring to Arizona State University.

How did your education at 麻豆村 prepare you for where you are today?

My time at Green River was incredibly transformative; I learned in engaging classrooms, connected with fellow international students, and actively participated in campus activities that allowed me to give back to GRC through participating in activities that benefited students. Getting involved significantly eased my transition to a four-year university. At Green River, not only did I learn how to study and became a better student, I also built wonderful friendships. Overall, attending GRC was financially wise, and also made me more ready for Arizona State University where I continued to nurture my passion for medicine and science. Read ASU article, .

After graduating from Arizona State University with my Bachelor's degree in 2022, I began my career as a researcher focusing on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of cancer cells. In July 2024, I joined the , where I continue to prepare for graduate school with the aim of contributing to the field of oncology and enhancing patient outcomes.

What kind of advice would you give a GRC student who dreams of getting into a top university?

As for advice on gaining admission to a good program, perseverance is key. While my journey is still unfolding, my experiences have taught me that resilience, hard work, and a bit of luck play crucial roles in getting you closer to where you want to be. I am looking forward to the future and to giving back to science and the world.
