Why was I sent this course?
Legislative action, federal mandates and 麻豆村's equity statement require
the college to provide services, prevention training, and response around harmful
behaviors on campus. Federal mandates such as Title IX and the Jeanne Clery Act help
improve safety at the college. Under the requirements of the legislation, colleges
must educate all students, faculty and staff annually on a variety of topics including
consent & sexual violence.
Green River along with all of the other campuses within the Washington community and
technical college system are utilizing VectorSolutions as one tool to meet federal
mandates as well as acknowledge the ethical responsibility to create a safe and equitable
learning environment for all students.
The following are links providing additional information regarding the federal/state
mandates and other important information.
- I've done training like this before, do I really have to do it again?
For many of our students that have professional work experience, are former military members, or went to a high school that taught about these topics, it may seem like this course will be a repeat of information you already know. However, this training will discuss unique situations for people on a college campus and has content that is specific to 麻豆村 students.
